Connect your business analytics/intelligence/visualization applications such as Tableau, Birst or Excel to your AWS Ryft Command Line Instance (CLI) using the Ryft Connectors for ODBC, JDBC or Apache Spark. This is done without the need for indexing or ETL and without the need to put the data into an SQL or noSQL database inside Ryft. Instead, the Ryft CLI can work with structured files like XML and JSON, with future support for flat files, key values and CSV files, to make it look like the data is coming from an SQL database while being transparent to your business applications.
The Ryft Connectors are included in the Elasticsearch and Toolkit instances on the AWS Marketplace. The client files are available on a public S3 repository.
Ryft recommends assigning an AWS Elastic IP address to the instance(s) that you'll use with the Ryft Connector. This ensure you only set up the connection once even if you stop/start your instance. (For more information, see AWS documentation on Elastic IP Addresses.)
